Someone once said - Know your backyard before you venture out into the unknown. I dont subscribe to this view; why not explore every place you get an opportunity to visit? Whenever I happen to visit a place for a marriage, conference, or some such thing, I search for a place close by and explore that place after downloading places of interest in that place. Thus I get to see much more. One such place I visited was Pondicherry. So much beauty, peace... so many beautiful memories. Would love to visit this place again.
