Someone once said - Know your backyard before you venture out into the unknown. I dont subscribe to this view; why not explore every place you get an opportunity to visit? Whenever I happen to visit a place for a marriage, conference, or some such thing, I search for a place close by and explore that place after downloading places of interest in that place. Thus I get to see much more. One such place I visited was Pondicherry. So much beauty, peace... so many beautiful memories. Would love to visit this place again. Check out some of these images of Pondicherry..
This blog is a repository for writers of all genres to record opinions, thoughts, observations and experiences related to music, language, literature, sports, culture, travel, life and communication. Let’s parley on these topics and throw light on how getting exposed to the best of everything in life can make a person more enlightened and richer in experience. As the first blog entry I am presenting one of my favorite quotes from Hamlet.. "To be, or not to be..."

Konark

“The World is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page.”- Saint Augustine.I love travelling and I guess all credit goes to my dad who used to take us to different places every year.By the time I was in college, I had seen most of India.I feel so nostalgic when I remember trivial yet such memorable incidents like the time it was so cold in Ooty that I thought I had frostbite on my nose as I could not feel it and it was as red as Rudolf's!And the time when a bull chased me through the marketplace near the marble rocks in Jabalpur... so many places, so many memories. As I grew older, I started travelling for many reasons, especially conferences. I would attend the conference and then travel to a wonderful place close by.The first time I went for a conference it was to Konark. Beautiful, amazing, unforgettable. The beaches, the sun temple, the rural ambience, the scultures and the lovely isolation, spaces, nature and architecture. The photos do not do justice to the beauty of the place, but I had to post atleast one!
Which was the place you enjoyed visiting? Do write and post some photos too!Write in your comments. I sure will enjoy interacting with you.
